Welcome to the Butler County Probate Court. Our mission is to protect the interests of the disabled, oversee the administration of estates, maintain court records for public access, adjudicate issues fairly and efficiently, and promote confidence in the judicial system.

Due to fire in the Historic Courthouse, the Butler County Probate Court will be temporarily operating from the Government Services Center- 315 High Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 until further notice.
The Court will be open for MARRIAGE LICENSES ONLY on 2/26/2026 and 2/27/2026 from 9:00AM to 3:30PM, 1st Floor of Government Services Center (GSC).

The Court will be open to accept filings will be accepted starting 3/2/2026 at its 1st floor GSC temporary location. Probate Filings accepted 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

The Courthouse entrance has moved due to construction. Follow the temporary signs to the Entrance.
There are new forms in the Guardianship Individual forms for the following: Appointment of Appraiser and Expedited Guardianship
There is a new form to request additional Certified Copies in all cases types - Form RCC
